Welcome and thank you for taking time to read more about my practice.
After 14 years in this field, I am still inspired by the integrity and courage that clients show by even considering an investment in counseling or coaching. The stress and busyness of our day-to-day lives can easily swamp the very best of good intentions. But there really are tangible ways to change that.
I love helping clients turn-off their inner-critic, improve their sense of security and move through the stressful moments of life with a new sense of connected-ness and purpose.
I have studied classic psychological techniques as well as those applying the latest neuroscience. I use a blend of methods in my practice to help you interrupt the habit of business as usual that can make change so difficult. These skills give you the power to live intentionally rather than re-actively. And they’re the best antidote to stress, anxiety and unsatisfying or frustrating relationships, that I’ve been able to find.
My training includes neuroplasticity, mindfulness, cognitive-behavioral and psychodynamic therapies. I have also served as a community mediator for the Chicago Center for Conflict Resolution and completed New York mediation certification training at the Columbia University School of Law.
Other professional experience includes management of clinical operations for a national employee assistance program (EAP) and consultation to managers at national corporations such as Alliant Energy, Wellmark BCBS, and Meredith Publishing.
Specialties & Credentials:
I specialize in stress management, anxiety, individual relationship concerns, habits, overeating, relationship conflict or distance, parenting stress, work stress, wellness, personal growth, mindfulness and emotional intelligence.
